In August of 2021, I will have been working here at Speare for 25 years. Working at Speare has given me the opportunity to enjoy caring for my own community while still being close by while my daughters were at school. My coworkers have become my second family and even those that have moved on from Speare have become my lifelong friends. The culture of teamwork here supports my professional growth and knowledge. This year working through the Covid 19 pandemic has certainly highlighted the teamwork at Speare!

I have found the Plymouth area to be a good mix of living in a rural community but still having easy access to the highway for traveling to other larger communities for sports, shopping, and entertainment.

I have worked at Speare in the Operating Room as an RN for almost 8 years. What I like most about Speare are my co-workers.  We are like a family in the OR. Everyone works together to have the best day and provide the best care possible for our patients.

Speare recently entered into a partnership with orthopedic surgeons from Concord, and with that, we are learning different surgical techniques and doing surgeries that previously would have been sent to a larger facility.  This is both exciting and challenging!

Plymouth is a wonderful small town to raise a family.  Everyone is friendly, and there is so much to do all year long.

I joined Speare in October 2017 and immediately liked the sense of community, teamwork, and camaraderie that you feel working for Speare. Coworkers at Speare are not just coworkers; they are part of your team. It’s one of the most rewarding aspects of working here. Speare has given me the opportunity to grow, and I have gained so much. Starting out as a Medical Assistant at Speare Primary Care, I was able to learned not just the clinical side of my job but the reception and administration piece as well. This led to my current position as Supervisor of MedCheck Urgent Care, where I have been for one year!

New Hampshire has been my home for 22 years, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Getting to be near the “hills” (I am from Wyoming, so I still can’t call them mountains) and the lakes – now that’s living! Both Plymouth Elementary School and Plymouth Regional High School are wonderful schools; they have offered many opportunities for my children over the years. All of these things are why I recommend working for Speare. You can have the best of both worlds, living in the community you care about and caring for the community you live.
