Patients Guide

Visitors

Visits from family and friends can be a high point of your day and are encouraged during your recovery period. To balance visits with your recovery, please refer to the following guidelines for visitors:
  • Visitors should check in at the nurses station before entering the patients room.
  • Two visitors at a time are welcome in your room.
  • Visitors are asked to use the designated waiting areas until the patient is able to receive their visitor. This reduces congestion in the hallways and maintains patient privacy.
  • Anyone recently exposed to a communicable disease (such as chicken pox, measles, whooping cough) should not visit.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on hospital grounds.
  • Children under 12 may visit with the authorization of the provider or charge nurse.
  • Children must not be left unattended anywhere in the hospital.
  • No visitors permitted after 8 p.m.
