SMH´s Diabetes Support Group to Focus on Eye Care

| PLYMOUTH, N.H. --- The October meeting of the Diabetes Support Group hosted by Speare Memorial Hospital is Monday, October 16 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Dr. John Richards, ophthalmologist, with be the featured speaker talking about the importance of regular eye examinations. | |
| "Eye sight can be affected by high blood sugar, so regular eye examinations are an important part of a patient´s ongoing diabetes assessment and treatment," says Marie Veselsky, SMH´s certified diabetes educator and coordinator of the support group. "Dr. Richards will give an overview of eye care and symptoms indicating there might be a problem." | |
