| |
PLYMOUTH, N.H. --- The August meeting of the Diabetes Support Group hosted by Speare Memorial Hospital is Monday, August 21 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Wendy Fetterolf from Abott Diabetes Care will demonstrate proper blood sugar testing technique, and bring a variety of glucometers to show patients. |
|
| “The Diabetes Support Group is an interactive, educational session aimed at helping patients be proactive in their diabetes care,” states Marie Veselsky, SMH’s certified diabetes educator and coordinator of the support group. “Successful treatment of diabetes centers on self-management, knowing when and how to test blood sugar. Wendy’s presentation will further enhance patients’ understanding of the importance of testing and interpreting the results.” | |
| The Diabetes Support Group is a free program that meets the third Monday of every month. Food and beverages are provided. For more information contact Marie Veselsky at (603) 238-6472. | |
