| “Our nurses really do make a difference everyday,” says SMH President/CEO Michelle McEwen, FACHE. “They are the patient advocate and as the primary care provider, serve as conduit of information for the doctors. Even though patients are here for a very short time, the connection nurses develop with their patients in such a short time is very real. They are the ones who explain what is going on, answer questions and help alleviate anxiety.” | |
| SMH will celebrate its nurses with a week-long series of events, highlighted by a reception on Thursday, May 8 at the Common Man Inn. | |
