More than 200 people are involved in making your stay at Speare Memorial Hospital as comfortable and healthful as possible. From your physician who directs your treatment, to the nurse who provides your daily care, to the housekeeper who cleans your room, all are committed to seeing you well again.
All our employees and volunteers wear identification badges which tell you our names and positions. Please do not hesitate to ask any one of us if you have questions or need assistance.
Our nursing staff is composed of registered and licensed practical nurses, all possessing the skills and education necessary to carry out the careful plan of treatment prescribed by your physician. Nursing assistants and volunteers who work under the supervision of the nurses will also provide some of your bedside care.
In some cases, you may require the services of our therapists and technicians. These highly skilled professionals provide respiratory treatments, take a sample of your blood, and administer tests, or x-rays. All these services have been ordered by your physician to help with diagnosis and treatment of your illness.
For every nurse or technician you see, you will find others working behind the scenes: engineers, administrators, all are members of a team of experienced, caring Speare Memorial Hospital employees, all working together to provide you with the highest quality care while you are here.
