Joe Caristi joins Speare Memorial Hospital as Chief Financial Officer
Speare Memorial Hospital has once again been named among the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation. This designation comes from the National Rural Health Association based on Speare’s ranking on the Top 100 list from iVantage Health Analytics. The ranking is based on 62 publicly reported performance metrics including quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, affordability, population risk and efficiency. Speare scored a 98.1 out of a possible 100 on the Hospital Strength Index™.
“We place a tremendous emphasis on quality, performance and patient satisfaction, and this honor demonstrates our efforts are making a difference not only for our hospital, but for the local central New Hampshire communities we serve,” says Speare’s President and CEO Michelle McEwen, FACHE
The Hospital Strength Index™ is a broad performance-based scorecard that provides a comprehensive framework on which to compare hospital performance across the country. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Index, and Speare Memorial Hospital is one of only 16 hospitals nationally—and the only one in New Hampshire—to make the Top 100 list each of the five years.
Ms. McEwen expressed the organization’s pride by saying, “Being among the top 100 Critical Access Hospitals for five consecutive years is a true testament of the commitment and dedication of our medical staff, nurses, clinicians and employees to provide patient and family-centered care that results in better health outcomes for our patients. The fact that these rankings are based on publicly reported data demonstrates our ability to not only meet and/or exceed national standards of excellence, but to sustain that performance over the long term. All of us at Speare Memorial Hospital take pride in providing our community excellent healthcare every day.”
