Position: RN
Department: Birthing Suite, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Surgical Services
Status: Per Diem available days and nights

Description: Assess and identify patient problems/needs,establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress. Current NH state RN licensure or eligibility. ACLS required. Minimum one year previous nursing experience necessary. TNCC/ENPC and/or CEN preferred.


Position:  Licensed Nursing Assistant
Department:  Medical/Surgical
Date:  1/14/14
Status:  Per Diem as needed

Description:  The Licensed Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the immediate direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Program required.  Experience in a health care setting required.  Current LNA licensure in the State of New Hampshire and BLS certification (adult, child, and infant) required.

Status:  1 – 24 hours/week; 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with every other weekend.  2 – 32 hours/week; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with every other weekend.

Description:  The Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process. The RN must assess and identify patient problems/needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.  Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor of Nursing preferred. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire. Must have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant). ACLS certification preferred. Certification in a field of Nursing preferred.


Position:  Maintenance Technician II
Department: Facilities
Date:  6/27/14
Status:  24 hours/week

Description:  Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or vehicle servicing. Maintains hospital grounds and parking lots, etc. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.   High school diploma or GED equivalent required. On the job training or apprenticeship program in a related field preferred. 1 year of experience in HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, maintenance or painting required. Experienced working in the healthcare field preferred. 2 years painting experience preferred.


Position:  Online Content Coordinator
Department: Community Relations

Description:  The Online Content Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing the hospital’s online promotional strategy, as an extension of our overall strategic communications plan. This will include:  enhancing the use of social media including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Linked-In, Twitter, Pinterest and/or blogs; online reputation management (i.e. Angie’s List, Google, Yelp, Yahoo reviews); daily posting activities and maintenance of the hospital’s website to ensure relevant, timely and accurate content; working with hospital department and practice directors/supervisors to update, develop and recommend new content and online strategies.  Bachelors degree in communications, computer science, graphic arts or related field required. 3 years professional experience in Web content creations, public relations and/or marketing required. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is greatly beneficial.


Position:  Clinical Leader
Department:  Medical/Surgical

Status:  40 hours/week days with every other weekend

Description:  Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Clinical Leader is responsible for assisting with the operational leadership and management of the unit. He/she is responsible for team and individual development, utilization of human, technical and material resources and quality improvement activities at the unit and organization level. The Clinical Leader assists the Director in fiscal responsibilities. The Clinical Leader is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of quality patient care and professional nursing practice.  Associates Degree required. Bachelor of Nursing or higher preferred. Three (3) years RN experience in acute care related to the department required. Previous supervisor or management experience preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire required. Current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant) required. ACLS required within 1 year of hire. PALS is required within 1 year of hire. Certification in nursing specialty related to the department preferred.

Position:  Pharmacy Technician
Department: Pharmacy

Description:  Plays an integral part of the pharmacy health care team by providing high quality pharmaceutical services in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements set forth for Pharmacy Technicians. Working under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, this position is required to perform duties within the hospital Pharmacy, and must be able to work independently in certain situations to complete routine duties, referring less than routine situations to the Registered Pharmacist.  High school graduate or equivalent required. Six months to one year experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. Experience in a hospital environment preferred. Current NH licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required. Successful completion of Certification Exam as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.


Position:  Environmental Services Technician (4 positions)

Status:  1 – Per Diem as needed. 2 – 40 hours/week with every other weekend. 3 – Temporary position 40 hours/week; 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with every other weekend. 4 – 40 hours/week days with every other weekend.

Description:  Performs Hospital housekeeping/custodial duties by maintaining assigned area of the Hospital in a safe, clean, sanitary and orderly condition.  High School graduate or equivalent required. 1-3 years experience in Environmental Services preferred. Valid driver’s license required, if assigned to offsite cleaning.


Position:  Registered Respiratory Therapist
Department: Cardiopulmonary
Date:  8/25/14
Status:  40 hours/week days with weekend, holiday, and call rotation

Description:  Conducts cardiological and pulmonary tests and respiratory care modalities for the in-patient and out-patient population. Such tests provide data for use in diagnosing heart and lung diseases using electrocardiograph, treadmill, holter monitor and spirometers. In addition is responsible for setting up and operating various oxygen delivery devices, to include ventilator management and respiratory care treatment, evaluation and assessment.  Advanced level practitioner.  Graduate of American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Therapy and successful completion of the Registry Examination required (new grads eligible).  1-3 years of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred.  New Hampshire State Board of Registration and Medicine Respiratory Therapy Licensure required.


Position:  Paramedic
Department: Emergency Department
Date:  8/26/14
Status:  36 hours/week with every other weekend

Description:  The Paramedic participates as a member of the nursing staff by performing various assessments, treatments and technical task as requested.  Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Paramedic assists with the delivery of non-critical and critical emergency care within the limits of his/her training, and documents that care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.  High School Graduate or equivalent required.  Experience in a health care setting required; Three to five years experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population preferred.  Must be a certified EMT-P (Paramedic) in the State of New Hampshire.   Must have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant), PALS and ACLS; specialized trauma courses preferred.


Position:  Phlebotomist
Department: Laboratory
Date:  8/28/14
Status:  Per Diem as needed

Description:  Under the general supervision of the laboratory director, the phlebotomist assumes responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures.  High school graduate with completion of phlebotomy certification program or Medical Assistant course required.  At least 3 months phlebotomy experience; experience in a hospital setting preferred.  Certification through national credentialing association such as American Society of PhlebotomyTechnicians preferred.


Position:  Contracts Specialist
Department: Physician Practices
Date:  8/25/14
Status:  24 hours/week; Monday through Friday days

Description:  This position serves the Speare Physician’s Group by maintaining and organizing systems that monitor and manage key provisions of payer contracts, vendor contracts, and physician employment contracts; including analytical work to monitor related contract provisions.  Activities will include monitoring key contract dates to assure timely response, assisting with financial analyses and modeling, and assisting with generating financial, and other informational presentation materials.  High School graduate required.  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.  Intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications required.  Minimum 1 year experience in a medical environment preferred.  Prior experience with physician practice billing and strong customer service orientation preferred.
