Description: The Director of Physician Practices is responsible for providing operational and strategic oversight of Speare Memorial Hospital’s physician practices. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the physician practice operations, including but not limited to recruitment, contracting, patient care, staff development, financial management, regulatory compliance, technology advancement and planning. The Director is also responsible for ensuring that physician practice services are rendered in accordance with Speare’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan. Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business, management or related curriculum required; Masters degree preferred. 3-5 years experience in healthcare management required; 3-5 years experience in physician practice administration preferred.
Position: Emergency Room/Outpatient Registration (2 positions)

Strong work experience with third party carriers required. Two years or more in healthcare medical billing or medical office setting preferred.
Position: Case Manager/Utilization Reviewer
Department: Patient Care Management
Status: 36 hours/week; 4 – 9 hour days with some weekend coverage
Description: Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Management, this position will perform the following functions: Case Management: in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals assess, plan, coordinate and oversee the plan of care for the in-patient population, and effectively prepare patients for discharge through patient/family meetings and coordination of home services. Also work with Emergency Department staff, when requested, regarding clarification of admission criteria. Utilization Review: ensure appropriate use of hospital resources to support quality care safely, timely, effectively, efficiently, equitably, and with a focus of patient centeredness. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelors of Nursing or higher preferred. Minimum of two years previous nursing experience in acute care setting required. In-patient critical care experience and experience communicating with third party payers preferred. Registered Nurse with valid NH state license required. BLS certification required. Certification in a relevant specialty preferred.
