Description: Assess and identify patient problems/needs,establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress. Current NH state RN licensure or eligibility. ACLS required. Minimum one year previous nursing experience necessary. TNCC/ENPC and/or CEN preferred.

Position:  Online Content Coordinator
Department: Community Relations

Description:  The Online Content Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing the hospital’s online promotional strategy, as an extension of our overall strategic communications plan. This will include:  enhancing the use of social media including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Linked-In, Twitter, Pinterest and/or blogs; online reputation management (i.e. Angie’s List, Google, Yelp, Yahoo reviews); daily posting activities and maintenance of the hospital’s website to ensure relevant, timely and accurate content; working with hospital department and practice directors/supervisors to update, develop and recommend new content and online strategies.  Bachelors degree in communications, computer science, graphic arts or related field required. 3 years professional experience in Web content creations, public relations and/or marketing required. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is greatly beneficial.

Position:  Exercise Physiologist Manager

Description:  Plays an integral part of the pharmacy health care team by providing high quality pharmaceutical services in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements set forth for Pharmacy Technicians. Working under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, this position is required to perform duties within the hospital Pharmacy, and must be able to work independently in certain situations to complete routine duties, referring less than routine situations to the Registered Pharmacist.  High school graduate or equivalent required. Six months to one year experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. Experience in a hospital environment preferred. Current NH licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required. Successful completion of Certification Exam as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Position:  Registered Respiratory Therapist

Description:  Conducts cardiological and pulmonary tests and respiratory care modalities for the in-patient and out-patient population. Such tests provide data for use in diagnosing heart and lung diseases using electrocardiograph, treadmill, holter monitor and spirometers. In addition is responsible for setting up and operating various oxygen delivery devices, to include ventilator management and respiratory care treatment, evaluation and assessment.  Advanced level practitioner.  Graduate of American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Therapy and successful completion of the Registry Examination required (new grads eligible).  1-3 years of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred.  New Hampshire State Board of Registration and Medicine Respiratory Therapy Licensure required.

Position:  Paramedic
Department: Emergency Department

Description:  The Paramedic participates as a member of the nursing staff by performing various assessments, treatments and technical task as requested.  Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Paramedic assists with the delivery of non-critical and critical emergency care within the limits of his/her training, and documents that care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.  High School Graduate or equivalent required.  Experience in a health care setting required; Three to five years experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population preferred.  Must be a certified EMT-P (Paramedic) in the State of New Hampshire.   Must have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant), PALS and ACLS; specialized trauma courses preferred.

Position:  Patient Services Representative

Description:  Serves as the initial contact for patients requiring registration and information.  Utilizes Next Gen, Meditech, and other system applications to enter, verify and edit demographic and billing information.  Manages delinquent patient accounts, setting up and monitoring budget payment plans, and processing unpaid accounts and assigning uncollectable accounts to collection agency.  High school graduate required.  Minimum 1 year experience in a medical environment preferred.  Prior experience with physician practice billing preferred.  Strong customer service orientation preferred.

Description:  The primary responsibility of the Medical Assistant is to assist the physician with direct patient care and administrative tasks that provide a steady daily workflow for the physician and office.  This position requires the Medical Assistant to follow directions as well as to exercise independent judgment that contributes to a quality, caring and efficient work environment.  High school graduate with extended education in medical assisting required.  Minimum 5 years experience in a medical office preferred.  Current Certified or Registered Medical or Nurse Assistant designation from the State of New Hampshire preferred.

Description:  The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for frontline end-user technical support for Speare Memorial Hospital, including hardware, software, network and telecommunication issues.  This includes end-user account setup and maintenance, hardware setup and modifications, desktop application installation and configuration, problem resolution, routine maintenance, configuration management and issue tracking, escalation and documentation.  High School Diploma required.  Technical Institute certificate in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.  MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and A+ certification preferred.  1 year experience working within a help desk setting required; 2-4 years experience working within help desk setting or hospital information systems department preferred.

Position:  Switchboard Operator/Receptionist

Description:  Operates the telephone switchboard in order to properly relay calls.  Performs miscellaneous hospital communications.  Receives visitors and/or patients, ascertains their needs and directs people to the correct locations accordingly.  Receives, verifies, reconciles cash payment, and miscellaneous payments at the beginning and end of every shift upon request.  High School Graduate or equivalent required.  Strong customer service experience required.  Prior switchboard experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Position:  Medical Assistant (2 positions)

Description:  Fills vacancies at other Speare physician offices to staff daily or short-term needs.  Provides support to physician practices as related to Medical Assistant functions.  Assist Patient Services staff with Electronic Medical Record chart migration and maintenance.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Medical terminology and other medical education required.  Certified Medical Assistant preferred.  2 years experience hospital or medical office required; 3+ years experience preferred.  Current Certification in Medical Assisting from American Association of Medical Assisting or HUC certification preferred.

Position:  Medical Secretary/Receptionist

Description:  Performs Hospital housekeeping/custodial duties by maintaining assigned area of the Hospital in a safe, clean, sanitary and orderly condition.  High School graduate or equivalent required.  1-3 years experience in Environmental Services preferred.  Valid driver’s license required, if assigned to offsite cleaning.

Description:  The Patient Care Technician provides support and assistance to the delivery of patient under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).  High School Graduate or equivalent required. Experience in a health care setting required; previous experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population preferred.  Must be a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of New Hampshire.  Must have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant).

Position:  Health Unit Coordinator

Description:  The Unit Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the non-nursing support functions in the nursing unit including the maintenance of supplies and equipment, coordination with other hospital services and the performance of clerical related duties.  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Terminology course completion preferred.  Previous clerical experience which included computer use required.  Experience in a health care setting preferred.
