Description: Assess and identify patient problems/needs,establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress. Current NH state RN licensure or eligibility. ACLS required. Minimum one year previous nursing experience necessary. TNCC/ENPC and/or CEN preferred.

Description:  The Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the planning and administration of information technology projects that impact clinical and ancillary departments including Nursing, Pharmacy and Diagnostic Services.  The position is responsible for coordinating aspects of the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical information systems.  The position will assist in the design of appropriate user training, actively participate in change management process, and works collaboratively with clinical end users to identify opportunities for work process improvement.  The Clinical Application Analyst will be required to maintain a high level of expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of the Meditech Clinical applications.  Meditech experience preferred.  RN or clinical background preferred.

Description:  Collaborates with patients, physicians and other health professionals to ensure the responsible provision of drug therapy for the purpose of achieving specific outcomes that improve a patient’s quality of life.  Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy required.  Completion of Internships and Externships as outlined by Board of Pharmacy required.  Hospital pharmacy experience including IV admixture and Oncology preferred; however, new grads are also encouraged to apply.  New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy licensed Registered Pharmacist or registration eligible required.

Description:  The Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process.  The RN must assess and identify patient problems/needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.  Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.  Bachelor of Nursing preferred.  Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire and have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant).  ACLS preferred; required within 12 months of hire.  Certification in a field of Nursing preferred.


Position:  Patient Care Supervisor
Department: Nursing Administration

Description:  This position is responsible for ensuring safe, age specific and competent care for all patients, through coordination of nursing and ancillary services.  The PCS supervises patient care staff, participates in evaluations, education, and counseling.  The PCS is also accountable for participating in departmental planning and development.  The PCS assists in establishing and achieving department specific objectives.  Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.  Bachelor of Nursing preferred.  Five (5) years RN experience in acute care and one (1) year previous leadership experience required.  Previous supervisor or management experience preferred.  Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire required.  Current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant) required; ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NRP are required within 2 years of hire.  Certification in a field of Nursing preferred.


Position:  Licensed Nursing Assistant (2 positions)

Description:  The Licensed Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the immediate direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Program required.  Experience in a health care setting required.  Current LNA licensure in the State of New Hampshire and BLS certification (adult, child, and infant) required.

Department:  Facility Services

Description:  Administers and directs a program intended to maintain and protect SMH physical plant assets.  Procures and manages utilities and other infrastructure components.  Formulates ideas and recommends system improvements.  Provides planning and oversight for asset upgrades and projects.  Coordinates activities with other departments to assure a safe and efficient operation for staff and clients.  Associates Degree or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred.  3-5 years supervisory experience leading Facility Services staff required; 3-5 years experience in a health care setting preferred.  Masters license in one of the trades required.  Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering Degree preferred.  Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications of new systems and construction required.  3-5 years of Project Management experience preferred.

Position:  Physician Practice Operations Manager
Department:  Physician Practices

Description:  The Practice Operations Manager has primary responsibility for ensuring operational effectiveness for the practitioners and Speare Memorial Hospital.  This is accomplished by aligning and focusing people, systems and processes toward organizational goals.  Working with the Director of Physician Practices and the Physician Practice Revenue Cycle Manager, the position will contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans, policies and practices, including forecasting and managing revenue and expenses.  High School Diploma required.  Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.  Minimum of 5 years experience in a medical office required; previous medical office management experience preferred.  Knowledge of medical billing and medical terminology required.


Position:  Optician
Department:  White Mountain Eye Care

Description:  The Optician will assist customers in choosing eye glasses and accessories for the patients and family members that satisfy the patient and family members.  Two year technical degree required.  Minimum two years’ experience as an Optician required.  Dispensing License and NH State Registered Optician required.

Description:  The Technical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of computer equipment and infrastructure supporting the healthcare applications at the hospital and physician practices.  This position provides technical, procedural and administrative leadership and guidance to other members of the IS technical staff and will coordinate all implementation and support functions.

Description:  The primary responsibility of the Medical Assistant is to assist the physician with direct patient care and administrative tasks that provide a steady daily workflow for the physician and office.  This position requires the Medical Assistant to follow directions as well as to exercise independent judgment that contributes to a quality, caring and efficient work environment.  High School graduate with extended education in medical assisting required.  Minimum 5 years experience in a medical office preferred.  Current Certified or Registered Medical or Nurse Assistant designation from the State of New Hampshire preferred.

Description:  The Patient Care Technician provides support and assistance to the delivery of patient under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).  High School Graduate or equivalent required.  Experience in a health care setting required.  Previous experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population preferred.  Must be a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of New Hampshire.   Must have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant).

Description:  The Ophthalmic Assistant assists the physician in organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities that occur in the ophthalmology environment by performing the assigned technical duties.  High School Graduate required.  Clinical experience in a health care setting required.  Previous experience as an ophthalmological technician preferred.  Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) certification required.  Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred.
